James Surprise Pt. 2: Affogato!

The last stop on our out-and-about day was a pretty little espresso bar called AffogatoThe atmosphere could not have been more inviting.

The man in the photo below is Sandor, one half of the hubby-wifey team that owns and operates the business. At least that is what I am assuming from our conversations and their About Us section on the website. He was a delight, and truly a host.

Pancake Parlour

The day after my final exam of my first ever semester of university (woah!), I met up with Lorrabelle and James. It was my last full day in Melbourne before flying off for a month of adventures. 

Lorrabelle suggested Pancake Parlour, and I had been craving pancakes for so long ever since moving to Australia. I've yet to pinpoint a reason for this, but it is true.

Spiced Globe Squash Soup, a time lapse experiment

My first ever time lapse compilation!

I had a couple of globe squashes that I needed to use up before leaving on holiday, and wanted to experiment with this time lapse business inspired by the handsome Lachlan. This is a very cut-down version of the butternut squash soup recipe I'll be doing a photo post on eventually. Just need to finish sorting through the photos from before, and actually write it up!

Hope you enjoy watching me sped up to one minute and twenty-three seconds! I think I'll be doing this every so often for the odd recipe here and there, it's quite fun to see it all come together like that.

Now, what wasn't caught was me processing all of this in a blender once it had cooled significantly, then pushing it through a sieve to get that lovely smooth consistency.
