Croissant

A croissant with custard filling and an almond toffee glaze crust for Sunday breakfast. Could not start my day any better than this!

Then I'll be off to plant some vegetables in our garden with the Briggs team. Delightful!

Hello sweet things!

I'm writing to apologise for the lack of updates on Demitasse Demi-sel in the past number of weeks! It's been leading up to the end of my first semester at university, meaning assignment deadlines and the approach of exams.

I haven't actually been cooking much lately, asides from the odd batch of curry through the week, or some soft-boiled eggs and toast. Keeping it simple so I can focus more on my work and studies!

I've a few posts backlogged, but still need to finish editing the photos and actually write out the recipes for you all. I promise they will be worth it though!

Can't wait to get back to blogging though! So sit tight darling friends, I will be back soon :)

Last night, I cooked dinner for Julia and Amit.
Beurre noisette, sage and roasted garlic rotini topped with toasted spicy herbed breadcrumbs. Served with butternut squash and chickpea veggie burgers.

MoVida

A couple of Mondays ago, I spent some time at a Spanish tapas bar called MoVida Next Door. A cozy little place tucked in a crazy alley way.

There couldn't have been a better way to spend that Monday evening than with some delicious wine, tapas and unfiltered conversation with a girlfriend. I had the most amazing mushrooms of my life!!!
