James Surprise Pt. 2: Affogato!

The last stop on our out-and-about day was a pretty little espresso bar called AffogatoThe atmosphere could not have been more inviting.

The man in the photo below is Sandor, one half of the hubby-wifey team that owns and operates the business. At least that is what I am assuming from our conversations and their About Us section on the website. He was a delight, and truly a host.

James ordered a chicken (was it chicken?) sandwich.
While I had my loose leaf English breakfast tea.
Similarly to Degraves Street from earlier on that day, Hardware Lane was another skinny street boasting of macaron cafes, coffee shops, and the like. It was bright and breezy, and had the most brilliant atmosphere of background guitars and crooners, bustling with flaneurs and afternoon enthusiasts.
Would definitely recommend a visit here if you were looking for a place to perch in the central business district of Melbourne. It's not very out of the way, yet does feel like a different experience in itself. I will probably be back there very soon once I'm back down under.
So grab a friend, grab a cuppa! Talk the day away!

xx,
Demitasse
